FITNESS
TODAY:
Are exercise and activity the same? Find
out here:
Activity refers to routine movements we
engage in throughout the day— walking, climbing stairs, household chores, or
commuting. These non-structured movements are essential for metabolic health,
preventing prolonged sedentary behavior, and ensuring joint mobility. Activity
is about sustaining movement without necessarily pushing physical limits.
Exercise, on the other hand, is
structured, goal-oriented physical exertion designed to improve strength,
endurance, flexibility, or cardiovascular fitness. It includes activities like
resistance training, yoga, Pilates, and high-intensity workouts, which enhance
muscle function, posture, and overall resilience against injuries.
Both are essential but serve different
roles. Activity ensures continuous movement, preventing the adverse effects of
prolonged sitting, such as poor circulation and joint stiffness. Exercise
builds strength, improves mobility, and plays a crucial role in rehabilitation,
especially for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries,"

Finding
the right hobby for you
You
might want a diversion from your work. You might want to do something relaxing.
However, the data suggest that if your goal for taking up a hobby is to be
happier and feel more satisfied with life, then staying physically and socially
active is likely to be your best bet.
The
power of movement
Physical
activity helps to keep you healthy. The more you move and stay fit, the more
you are likely to continue to stay healthy and fit later in life. So, the
activities themselves are enjoyable, and they have a positive impact on factors
like health that have a positive effect on well-being.
POSITIVE VIBES TODAY
You are never too old to set another goal or
to dream a new dream.” “Strong people don't put others down, they lift them
up.” “The more you feed your mind with positive thoughts, the more you can
attract great things into your life.” “Wherever you go, no matter what the
weather, always bring your own sunshine.”
Running
in the same place is not progress. People who move up are the ones who measure
their progress weekly, every week…The new-age workplace is not a school
classroom where attendance equals passing marks. One has to take initiative,
make decisions, be accountable and drive things forward.
The
best people don’t count hours. They align to outcomes.
